From the mountains of Snohomish to the wineries of Woodinville, here are some of my favorite places to film weddings!
Woodmark Hotel and Still Spa – Located right on the waterfront in Kirkland, Washington, this wedding venue offers great views, highlighted by an optional boat ride on the hotels private boat!
Variety is the spice of life, and this venue offers no shortage of it! The inside of the hotel has a grand staircase, with lots of mirrors, which is a videographers dream. The outside is set up with a permanent tent (so your wedding guests aren’t baking in the sun during the ceremony), with a backdrop of the Puget Sound and downtown Seattle in the far distance.
During cocktail hour, a short boat ride is offered for the lucky couple (champagne included of course) while the guests enjoy an outdoor patio cocktail hour.
At night, the fire pits are lit for guests who want to walk along the boardwalk, while the party moves inside for the reception and dancing.
From a videographer’s point of view, really no shortage of opportunities to capture great footage from a multitude of angles.
SoDo Park – One of our favorite venues close to downtown Seattle, SoDo Park is perfect for a rustic themed wedding. There is plenty of light that comes in from the windows out front, as well as a wonderful feeling of openness from the vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. The space feels large, but is very easy to get around and makes use of every corner.
